We provide money to get through hard times

One of our Housing Stability participants came to us in a tough spot. Helping Hands came through with $2100 so he would’t lose his home.

“Without your help I would have faced foreclosure of my home that is almost paid in full,” he said. “I really would like to thank all of you for what you have done for me. It is very hard to find those good people and you are those good people.”

Our mission

We help families stay in their homes

When one of our Housing Stability participants faced eviction, our team jumped in to help her navigate the situation with her apartment management.

“I share an apartment with my three young adult sons,” she said. “We got behind on the rent to the point we were to be evicted. Helping Hands was so helpful and patient with us, especially with getting paystubs, letters from the rental office showing when the money was due before the eviction. This was a blessing, and I am forever grateful.”

We help new businesses start and grow

We work with aspiring entrepreneurs in free, personalized coaching sessions to help them find grants, plan and budget for their business, and connect with community partners.

“I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed my coaching session,” one participant said. “I walked away with an even greater sense of excitement about launching my business—and honestly, I didn’t think that was possible! I’ll be keeping an eye out for upcoming workshops, and I plan to officially join the Chamber of Commerce this week.”
